About the Role

At Ipsilon Belgium, we are looking for a motivated and technically proficient professional to join our Electronics team. As a qualified European Patent Attorney, you are the expert in electronics- and ICT-related inventions. You are responsible for managing and expanding your own client portfolio, advising, filing applications, and thinking strategically alongside our clients.

You work in a dynamic environment dealing with the latest developments in electronics, ICT, mechanics, electromechanics, and/or physics.

Your Profile
To take on this challenge, you bring the following:

• You are a qualified European Patent Attorney (passed the EQE).
• You are perfectly bilingual (English + Dutch/French) in both speech and writing.
• Passive knowledge of German or French/Dutch is a plus.
• You are a true ‘advisor’: you possess strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and are results- and customer-oriented.

Your Responsibilities
As a Patent Attorney, you are the contact person for your clients and are responsible for:

• Patent Procedures: Independently managing the various patent procedures.
• Portfolio Management: Managing and strategically advising on clients’ patent portfolios.
• Client Relations: Maintaining active relationships, proactively advising on IP strategy, and ensuring high-quality service.
• Client Acquisition: Expanding your own client portfolio through networking, writing professional articles, giving presentations, and approaching potential new clients.
• Team & Administration: You work closely with the team, plan your activities efficiently, and ensure correct time tracking and billing.
